Interval training is a great way to punch up your workout routine
I’ve had quite a few people ask me about interval training over the last couple of weeks, so I thought it would be a great addition to the Workout of the Week library. Interval training is simply adding higher intensity intervals throughout your cardio workout.
For example if you walk, you could get warmed up for 3 to 5 minutes, then pick up your pace to something more challenging for 2 minutes, then come down to your normal pace for 2 to 3 minutes, then take it back up to the challenging pace for 2 minutes.
Interval training is a great way to break through plateaus, and to add interest to your routine. Remember, 30 minutes, 3 times per week is all it takes to get started and to start feeling better.
Want some extra added accountability? Why not post your workout plan to the comments section? I’ll be happy to give support and help you stay on track! Just one other word of advice. Make sure to start gradually if you have not done any strenuous exercise in sometime. There is no hurry, just simply add this to your workout routine.
